Good Night, Dad... by DanaPhantom Good Night, Dad... by DanaPhantom
Lookit, Dana can actually draw people! Almost maybe.

Um... so this my new trainer (see deviation "Unknown Trainer"), who is now named Ashton Kiersley. And for you to understand this picture, you'll need a little bit of her background:

When Ashton was only a few years old, her mother left her father, off to pursue her own Pokemon Dreams, leaving him to care for Ashton. When Ashton inevitably caught the Trainer Bug, her father was very hesitant to let her go, but knew it was futile to try to make her stay. With his reluctant blessing, she traveled to Littleroot Town to begin her journey.

Yadda yadda yadda if you want to read the novel I've turned her history into, you'll have to find it at Ozaki if/when it ever opens. Ashton gets the badges, her dad gets all overprotective when he finds out his poor little baby almost got a boo-boo when she was on her way underwater to Sootopolis, and she defies him and runs off, going to Evergrande and managing to become Champion. She then makes amends with her Dad and can tell he's still very nervous for her, despite being the most powerful trainer in Hoenn at the time. It's cool, but after a while the glitz and glamor become boring. Realizing that there's nothing really left for her in Hoenn, she decides to go to Kanto and see what's going on over there after the horrible reports of the Rockets - and the news they were going down.

She knew that hearing her plans would upset her father and would only cause more arguing. But she needed to do her own thing and take care of herself. Besides, look at her, look at all she had done: and if he wasn't proud of that, he could never consider himself the great father he was.

Ashton had to leave on her own terms.

She silently crept into his bedroom late that night, giving him a kiss on the forehead and leaving a note on his bed stand that he would find in the morning. Not wanting to dwell and then hesitate - a tactic that had worked so well for many years prior - she quickly turned to leave. But as she approached the door, she couldn't help but stop and look over her shoulder.

Good night, Dad... I'll miss you more than you'll ever know... she thought to him, and then entered the hallway, flicked off the light, and went out into the dark to begin her next big journey.

Oh, and eventually she ends up in Ozaki.

THE END.

Thanks. It looked bad with a plain white background (especially given that she's supposed to be in a dark room), so I whipped something up.
